Bar Fly...{part 1}

12.18.2011

On the subject of holiday favorites, I continue to be a bar fly.   My two favorite spots (one virtual and one physical) are both BARS.   Drybar continues to be my get-happy spot and I am nearing weekly visits thanks to very generous friends and family that bonus me with gift certificates.   My next favorite is Bauble Bar, which has me tracking the Buried Bauble every day (more about this in Bar Fly part 2).

For beauty favorites and favorites in general; Drybar.  I love my perfect, voluminous, and sweet-smelling blow-out after I have been to Drybar.  While I cannot replicate the exact nature of my experience I have taken some of their secrets home with me.   "Secret" is going to be a little more loosely defined in this story because I have shared this information with some of my friends at a recent beauty product exchange.  I also tend to get very excited over finds like the Drybar tools and share enthusiastically.

So, the tools for hair success include a very special but super inexpensive "Wet Brush".  Yes, that is the name of the amazing brush to use on wet hair.   No need to disguise the real purpose with a fancy moniker.  Wet Brush is what you have always wanted from your pick, comb, fingers, or whatever else you have been using to stretch and abuse your wet hair with all of these years.

The Wet Brush is gentle and takes wet tangled hair and smooths the snarls and doesn't pull.   There, I said it all.   It does everything.  This is the brush I have been looking for all of my life.

The next bar item that I have fallen in love with Moroccanoil Hair Spray.   I still use Moroccanoil Light to smooth my ends and the volumizing shampoo and conditioner, yes.  However, because I am a committed L'oreal Elnett user, I don't look at other hairsprays.   I have opened the door a bit though and let in the Moroccanoil Hair Spray.   It is light and delicious and leaves a fine glimmering finish.  I wish it was a perfume or a lotion.  I am obsessed!

Drybar knows that they are on to something with their amazing services and luxurious products.  They have packaged up all of these goodies together for holiday gift packs.  I at first thought that Drybar sent the gift options to me only, sort of a personal touch.  It turns out these favorites are available to everyone and even online.

Happy Hair $55

The gifts include my favorites; wet brush and Moroccanoil Hair Spray, along with a hair tie or 2, blowouts (1 to 3), and other goodies depending on which package you select.

All I can say is that 2011 has brought to me the gift of good hair and even more favorite beauty treats.  I know for something really great it pays to frequent the Drybar, and bars in general.  Keep reading this week and I will tell you about Bauble Bar.   I can't get enough!
